Lubricate and protect
As soon as the first spring sun appears, we will of course immediately go for a stroll. Get a nice, smooth, fresh shave or tidy up your beard and head outside. As soon as the sun is high you have to watch out for this glowing ball. Especially if you have little hair on top of your bun. But many men absolutely hate all kinds of greasy sunscreen lotions. In this blog we have some useful protection and care tips.
Sun protection tips
Tip 1
This is an open-door tip, protect your head with a nice hat or a nice cap or cap. Despite these headgear, it remains important to protect your skin.
Tip 2
After shaving, use an after shave balm with sun protection. The super handy 3-in-1 after shave balm from American Crew nourishes and soothes the skin after shaving and also protects against the sun's UV rays. The sun protection factor of this balm is 15. It provides light protection against the sun.
Tip 3
Use a moisturizer with SPF in the morning. A moisturizer is a moisturizing and facial care cream. You can apply it after the after shave treatment to care for the entire face. Some moisturizers also have sun protection.
The Face Cream SPF30 from Recipe for Men is very popular. This Swedish care brand produces various shaving and skin care products for men. Their products are therefore well tailored to men's skin and the way we like to use care products. This moisturizer hydrates the skin and protects against the sun at the same time. SPF30 is powerful protection. For optimal use, we recommend using it twice a day. Early in the morning and possibly during the day. This gives you excellent protection all day long.
The Day Cream moisturizer from Anthony Logistics has sun protection of SPF30. This moisturizer contains various caring and nourishing ingredients, such as wheat proteins, Panthenol (vitamin B) and vitamins A, C and E. This cream ensures healthy, fresh and firm skin. It reduces wrinkles. In addition, it has very good sun protection. You should also apply this cream a few times a day.
What is SPF?
There are so-called chemical and physical UV filters. Chemical filters penetrate the skin and absorb this radiation. Physical filters place a protective layer on your skin and 'reflect' sunlight.
Commonly used SPF ingredients in chemical filters are Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Octocrylene and Benzophenone-3. These ingredients can be found in many moisturizers. There is quite a bit of discussion about the safety of these ingredients. They are absorbed into the blood and can disrupt your hormone balance. They could also irritate the skin. It is of course true that the risk of unprotected exposure to UV radiation is many times higher than the risk of these components. If you are unsure about using these care products, you can of course initially apply a small amount very carefully to less visible parts of the body. So instead of applying it directly to your face, apply a little cream to your arm.
