Why use a cleansing gel?

Never clean before shaving with regular hand soap. Soap is strongly alkaline and causes dry skin. Always use a pH-neutral cleansing gel before shaving. These products leave your skin alone. This means you will have much less trouble with dry, chapped skin or other shaving irritations during and after shaving. Because a cleansing gel is much less aggressive for the skin, it contributes to combating skin aging.

Apply a cleansing gel to damp skin, massage lightly and then rinse thoroughly with water.

Which brands sell cleansing gel?

The well-known shaving brands all sell facial cleansing for men. The German Muhle has a neutral cleansing gel with Argan oil. The American company Anthony sells various facial cleansing products for both normal and oily skin. The Swedish skin care brand for men Recipe for Men has a cleansing gel especially for sensitive skin. The English Men-Ü has a cleaning product that smells wonderfully fresh, like mint. Reuzel , the Dutch barbershop brand from Rotterdam, has a handy cleaning stick.
