History of De Scheermonnik

The Scheermonnik was developed in 2016 by Ron Valeri. In 2018 and 2019, this artisanal shaving cream was produced and perfected by Henri van Gool at Manandshaving. The shaving creams have been extensively tested from the start and have passed the most stringent laboratory tests. It meets the strictest EU requirements regarding cosmetics and skin care and is therefore certified. The formula, the preparation process and the various ingredients provide a phenomenal shaving product.

Due to the correct combination and proportions of various vegetable oils, fats and potassium hydroxide, De Scheermonnik is a super-greasy shaving cream. This means that the shaving foam retains water for a long time, provides a full, greasy slick layer on the skin and the oils effectively nourish the skin. The result is a pleasant and comfortable shave and a smooth shave.

The scents of De Scheermonnik

Delft White
A woody scent with notes of bergamot, cedar wood, patchouli and oakmoss supplemented with cardamom, vanilla bourbon and allspice.

Delft Thunderclap
A deep scent of amber and lavender with notes of myrrh, vanilla, musk, tonka beans and sage.

Souk
Souk is a mix of myrrh and orange with middle notes of ginger, cinnamon and cloves. This soft scent is rounded off with caraway seeds and vanilla to give a warm and soothing feeling.

1778 Beau Brummell
A light, fresh scent with notes of honey, black tea, tobacco, lilac and hints of fruit and spices.

Birch
If you prefer light, subtle scents, Berk is your shaving cream. This shaving cream has a light earthy forest scent with subtle notes of sandalwood and cedarwood.

Smother
This shaving cream is also very lightly perfumed. It has a warm and seductive scent of sandalwood and earth combined with sweet and creamy vanilla.
