The famous Böker from Solingen is one of the largest manufacturers in Europe of, among other things, razors, sports knives and kitchen knives. Since 1896, Böker has been producing razors of flawless quality.

The razor shaving head is a closed comb. Suitable for light to normal beard growth. The butterfly mechanism opens by turning on the handle. This makes it easy to put the razor blade in the shaving head.

Where should you pay attention when purchasing a Safety Razor?
Safety Razors with closed comb are the most common ranges. Suitable for the novice shaving and shaving the light to normal beard growth. Also suitable for sensitive skin. Shair knives with an open comb shear slightly more direct or 'more aggressively'. These are suitable for the experienced shaving and shaving the normal to heavy (stiff beard hair) beard growth. Usage
First soap the beard hairs, keep the razor at an angle of approx. 30 degrees compared to the skin, press the knife lightly on the skin and shave with the beard hairs. At the neck part, tighten the skin with the other hand.

Clumsy
I bought this Böker, Gunmetal with butterfly closure at the same time as the Mühle R89Twist. This seemed like a handy knife to practice with as starting the user, 6 months ago. That was disappointing. A small knife quickly invites you to work with the fingers, while we now know that you have to move from the arm. A heavy knife does that immediately. Try it. This Böker has a vulnerable mechanism where everything is loose. The biggest objection is the flat head. The razor blade is not sufficiently stretched by this shape and therefore almost sticks out of the head. You notice that immediately when shaving. Your **** easily injured yourself. The knife scrapes over the skin instead of cutting. Afterwards the skin will burn. This did not happen at the Mühle. That feature has all the butterfly knives. This knife is also sold under various brand names such as Timor, Rockwell, Guardenza, Viking. In the US They are called Parker and can be purchased for $ 8. A design from W.O. 2, provided to the soldiers so that they had no separate parts that could lose and with which you could not cut. In the meantime the razors have improved and have a convex head, with or without a teeth. On the box is made in Solingen, Germany, but it is really made in China.
