The shaving head of the razor is a closed comb. Suitable for light to normal beard growth. By turning the handle, the butterfly mechanism opens. This makes it easy to place the razor blade in the shaving head.
What should you pay attention to when purchasing a safety razor?
Safety razors with closed combs are the most common razors. Suitable for the novice shaver and shaving light to normal beard growth. Also suitable for sensitive skin. Razors with an open comb provide a more direct or 'aggressive' shave. These are suitable for the experienced shaver and shaving normal to heavy (stiff beard hairs) beard growth. The razor with a butterfly closure has a light shaving head and is suitable for light beard growth. Usage
First lather the beard hairs thoroughly, hold the razor at an angle of approximately 30 degrees to the skin, press the blade lightly on the skin and shave with the beard hairs. At the neck area, pull the skin taut with the other hand.

Deze Böker, gunmetal met vlindersluiting kocht ik tegelijk met de Mühle R89twist. Dit leek me een handig mes om mee te oefenen als startende DE gebruiker, 6 mnd geleden. Dat viel tegen. Een klein mes nodigt snel uit om met de vingers te werken, terwijl wij ondertussen weten dat je vanuit de arm moet bewegen. Een zwaar mes doet dat meteen. Probeer het maar. Deze Böker heeft een kwetsbaar mechanisme waarbij alles loszit. Grootste bezwaar vind ik de platte kop. Het scheermesje wordt niet voldoende opgespannen door deze vorm en steekt daardoor bijna haaks uit de kop. Dat merk je direct bij het scheren. Je **** je makkelijk verwonden. Het mesje schraapt over de huid i.p.v. te snijden. Na afloop gaat de huid branden. Dit gebeurde niet bij de Mühle. Dat kenmerk hebben trouwens alle vlindermessen. Dit mes wordt ook verkocht onder diverse merknamen zoals Timor, Rockwell, Guardenza, Viking. In de V.S. heten ze Parker en zijn te koop voor $8 . Een ontwerp uit W.O. 2 , aan de soldaten verstrekt zodat ze geen losse onderdelen hadden die kwijt konden raken en waarmee je je niet kon snijden. Inmiddels zijn de scheermessen verbeterd en hebben een bolle kop, met of zonder vertanding. Op het doosje staat dan wel made in Solingen, Germany maar het wordt toch echt gemaakt in China.
